A closer look, a deeper connection
I’m Jelle Barentsz, a radiologist from the Netherlands with a lifelong passion for nature photography. My profession has taught me to look closely. With my camera, that same attention becomes a way of discovering the beauty, complexity and vulnerability of life on Earth.
Photography takes me from intimate details to open landscapes: an unfolding fern, a mother elephant with her calf, the last light on a mountain. As an amateur photographer, I am drawn by curiosity and the joy of being in nature.
Through my photographs, I hope to share more than beautiful places. I want to inspire a deeper appreciation of our planet and the responsibility we share to protect it—for wildlife, for ourselves and for generations to come.
